Once you have created your persona, you should understand their demographics, interests, fears, values which will enable you to target these areas through your campaigns.

Sell, Sell, Sell! 

The reality is, no one likes to be sold to.

Too many businesses make the mistake of selling their products / services through social media, without knowing their customer’s needs. Consumers want a solution, consumers want personality. Too often, companies offer a poor incentive leaving the consumer no drive to purchase.

Through your campaigns, show the benefits of your services, show the solutions your services provide and most importantly, stand out.

The way your advert looks is important, whilst your customers are scrolling through hundreds of posts on their newsfeed, does yours stand out? Does it capture their eye immediately? 

If you are sharing a link from a web page, don’t just use the images used on the web page you are promoting, spruce up your image, add your logo – make it stand out. Your image is just as important as your content.

Include videos where possible, bear in mind when creating videos, your video must make sense without volume, why?

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is not including a call to action. Some brands spend time on their content and their visuals but forget to include a call to action.

What is a call to action?

A call-to-action (CTA) is an image or line of text that prompts your visitors, leads, and customers to take action. It is, quite literally, a “call” to take an “action.”

So, what can you do to ensure your social media ads work?

Following the steps above, your Ads will start to generate more of a return, ensure you spend some time researching and understanding your audience.

Make your adverts are visually pleasing, even interactive if you can. Remember, don’t be ‘too salesy’ and always include a call-to-action.
