Over the years, I have been asked a lot of questions about Facebook & Instagram ads, so here are just a few of them.
I hope they are helpful.
How much do I need to spend on Facebook Ads?
A minimum of £10 per day, per audience. If you are running retargeting ads, you will need a minimum of £5 per day on top of your top of funnel ads. More on budget’s here.
What’s the difference between optimising for “Leads” or “Conversions”
Optimising for Leads is on Facebook leads, such as lead forms or messages.
Conversions is taking an action on your website such as a sale, download or form submission.
How long should I run a campaign for?
This is up to you. But if you are making good ROI, why stop? The longer you can test variables, the better.
What is a Facebook pixel?
A pixel is a piece of code that is placed on your website, to track the activity of your visitors. You can use it to create more targeted audiences through your ad campaigns.
Why am I not seeing results?
This could be for so many reasons. Your audience may be wrong. Your budget may be too low. Your tracking may not be set up properly, or your ad isn’t catching people’s attention. There’s a full blog about results here, which you may find helpful, however, if you’re concerned, you may benefit from one of my Power Hours.
What is a lookalike audience?
A lookalike audience is created using similar data points to your existing audiences, such as your Facebook followers, website visitors, existing customers etc.
Should I use a daily budget or lifetime budget?
Daily! Even if you only want to spend £100, use a daily budget and pause the campaign at £100. Using a lifetime budget tells Facebook you are only willing to spend £100, therefore they will prioritise others who spend more.
